Homelab

Dell PowerEdge T130 server running Unraid, with an Intel Xeon E3-1240 v5, 48 GB DDR4 ECC, four 4 TB drives, and two 512 GB NVMe drives as cache.

Remote access is self-managed: a WireGuard VPN plus an nginx proxy manager running on an Oracle Cloud (OCI) ARM instance, giving secure access to homelab services from anywhere (a self-hosted equivalent of a zero-trust access layer, managed end to end by me).

Self-hosted services include Bitwarden (password manager) and Nextcloud, with OneDrive Business as an offsite backup target.

Dev environment

  • Editor: VS Code with Claude Code running in the terminal (primary). Cursor occasionally.
  • OS: Windows 11 with WSL.
  • Terminal: Windows Terminal plus WSL, with oh-my-zsh.
  • This site: Astro, Tailwind CSS, and Node.

Daily apps

  • Browser: Microsoft Edge.
  • Communication: Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
  • Music: Spotify.
  • Notes: Apple Notes.
  • Calendar: Google Calendar.
  • Password manager: Bitwarden, self-hosted (see Homelab).
  • Backup and sync: Nextcloud plus OneDrive Business.

Cloud and platforms

Professional work spans AWS, Azure, OCI, and OVH, across multiple projects at once.

Language depends on context: C# on personal projects, Java at the current employer.
